Klemgard County Park is nestled in a forested canyon in the beautiful Union Flat area. This 59 acre Park is ideal for families, large groups and picnics! Lots of room to run!
For the safety of your pet, the wildlife, park visitors, and other domestic animals, always keep your pet on a leash.
Shelter Reservations
Please contact the Park's Office at (509) 397-6238 for shelter reservations. Reservations should be made at least 2 weeks prior to your event.
Fire Restrictions
Currently there are fire restrictions in place due to high temperatures and dry conditions. No open fires and no smoking allowed within park boundaries.
Gas stoves and charcoal briquettes can be used for cooking.
Fireworks Are Prohibited
As a reminder to visitors, fireworks are not allowed in any of the County Parks.

- One large group shelter with a large barbecue grill and electrical outlet (capacity of 200 people) (available on a first come, first serve basis and for reservations)
- Three small shelters (capacity of 8 people)

Camping
No camping available - day use only.
Directions to Klemgard County Park
From Pullman:
- Travel 10 miles north on Highway 195 (Pullman-Colfax Highway).
- Klemgard County Park is well marked with a Department of Transportation brown picnic, trail and tree sign.
- Turn left on Hamilton Hill Road (Road 8300) and drive 2.5 miles to the bottom of the canyon flat.
- Turn west (right) on Union Flat Road (Road 8250) (it is a gravel road) and travel 1 mile to the entrance of the park.
From Colfax:
- Travel 5 miles south on Highway 195 (Pullman-Colfax Highway).
- Klemgard County Park is well marked with a Department of Transportation brown picnic, trail and tree sign.
- Turn right on Hamilton Hill road (Road 8300) and drive 2.5 miles to the bottom of the canyon flat.
- Turn west (right) on Union Flat Road (Road 8250) (it is a gravel road) and travel 1 mile to entrance of the park.
