Juvenile Court & Child Advocate Program (CAP)
The Juvenile Court staff provides for the needs of youthful offenders and holds them accountable for their criminal offenses.
Parks & Recreation
The main goal of the Whitman County Parks and Recreation Department is to provide access to safe and maintained park facilities in outdoor environments that allow residents and visitors to pursue recreational and leisure activities.
The Probation Department provides four primary services to District Court: pre-sentence investigations, probation supervision, electronic home monitoring supervision, and some limited pre-trial supervision as ordered by the court.
The Prosecuting Attorney's Office prosecutes all criminal matters for the County, serve as legal advisor to County departments and officials, represent the County in lawsuits, helps determine restitution in appropriate criminal cases, and prosecutes all misdemeanors for cities and towns within the County.
The Department of Public Health's mission is to educate, promote, maintain, and improve the health status of those we serve in Whitman County.
The purpose of the Department of Public Works is to provide vital services the public including plowing snow, building roads and bridges, disposing of solid waste, and more!
The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office is committed to making Whitman County a safe place to live, work and raise families
The Whitman County Treasurer acts as the banker/cash manager for the County and its Special Purpose Taxing Districts.
Our ultimate mission is to control noxious weeds in Whitman County. We will attempt to succeed in this mission through cooperation with all landowners in the county, private as well as public agencies.
