The Whitman County Jail houses all levels of offenders prior to conviction. We may have pre-trial detainees who are here on serious Class A Felony charges down to Misdemeanor charges.
Once convicted we only house inmates who have been sentenced to one year or less. Anyone who gets sentenced to more than one year will go to prison.
