A Message From the Sheriff

My goal is to provide for the citizens of Whitman County the best Law Enforcement organization possible. The Community Oriented Policing model is the principle guiding all interactions between my staff and the public.

I am dedicated to the purpose of providing pro-active law enforcement. I recognize our community not only as a county but respect the varying character, social and crime concerns of the towns and cities. To that end, I encourage citizens to communicate their concerns with any Sheriff's Office staff member. I ask each citizen to focus on working together toward a safe, orderly and rewarding life, that is possible, with mutual respect, action and trust.

Your concerns will not fall upon deaf ears at the Sheriff's Office. As you can see from the Mission Statement that not only I, but each member of my staff is ready to play an active role in maintaining the quality of life that makes living in Whitman County so appealing.
